How To Become A Member Of Orcutt Baptist Church

If you would like to be involved and are willing to commit to doing ministry, then you are invited to become a candidate for membership at OBC. When the Pastor extends the invitation in the worship service, go to him and communicate your desire to join Orcutt in one of these ways:

Profession of Faith and Baptism
As you trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord you can share that decision with the church and be baptized by immersion.

Baptism
If you’re a Christian who has not been baptized by immersion, you can receive baptism at OBC and we will notify your former church of your decision to join Orcutt.

Statement
We will accept your statement that you have already received believer’s baptism by immersion.

Transfer of Letter
We will be happy to contact a sister church at which you have been a baptized member and request your membership be transferred to Orcutt.

After making your decision, you will be invited to a Discovering Church Membership Class to complete the membership process. (You are also welcome to attend the DCM class as a visitor to learn about OBC prior to making your decision. You will not have to attend the class again after becoming a candidate.)
