Orcutt’s Kid’s Cove is a clean, exciting, kid friendly “safe harbor” just for kids from birth to 5th grade. At Kid’s Cove, our objective is to share God’s word with children in an age appropriate manner, creating a spiritual foundation that, in God’s timing, will lead a child into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We desire to partner with parents to nurture, disciple and equip children to be life-long followers of Christ. Our Hosts will be able to direct you to Kid’s Cove upon your arrival to Orcutt Baptist Church. Please know that our warm and caring children’s ministry leaders are carefully screened and trained. We operate a well-child program. Surfaces, toys, and bedding are sanitized after each service to reduce the spread of germs. For the protection of all children in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with a runny nose, fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea, or any other signs of illness. Kid’s Cove is a place kids can call their own! It is a place of wonder and discovery making learning about God fun! From your first glimpse of the murals on the walls to the scripture based classroom décor, you will see it is our goal that children be immersed in God’s Word. So join us at Kid’s Cove and “Make a SPLASH with God’s Word! Study it, Pray it, Live it, And Share it.” Our Ministries: Sunday School – Sunday mornings at 9:30 Preschool Children’s Worship - Sunday mornings at 11:00 KidStuf - Sunday mornings at 11:00 AWANA - Sunday evenings at 6:00-7:30 (Age 3 thru 5th grade). AWANA is a Bible-centered program that reaches children and youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ and trains them to serve Him.The name AWANA is an acrostic for the phrase “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”, taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV): “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth”. Club meetings consist primarily of Bible memory work, an exciting game time, singing and a Bible message. Weekly awards can be earned through handbook achievements and game time.
