What does a Sunday School committed to transformation look like?

The following questions reflect the traits of a transformational Sunday School.

1. Teachers, present you lessons challenging members to examine their lives in the light of Scripture so they might change in obedience to God. James 1:22, says “Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves”.

2. Teachers, do you teach out of a fresh relationship with the Lord? When you walk with your members in obedient, Christ-centered living, move beyond idle application discussions.

3. Teachers, do you expect to see lives transformed through your teaching? Do you see the potential in your members; believe that their lives can be transformed through the teaching of God’s word, and consider where they are and what they need?

4. Life transforming teachers see every encounter and relationship as an opportunity to help members grow in their awareness of how God is working and how they can respond to Him.

5. Sunday School teachers with a passion for transformation look for, recognize, and celebrate the changes taking place in the lives of members.
